As a Little Black Book Member, Four Seasons Films was honored to sponsor and award Julia and Dean with the first ever cinematography prize for a Style Me Pretty reader. We received and read many wonderful stories and plans from couples nationwide and abroad. We contacted Julia and Dean with the exciting news. Our travel plans were made and in September, we flew to the coast of Washington to film this terrific couple's wedding. Their sentimental story really resonated with us. Dean is an only child and Julia is the only daughter in her family. A Pacific Northwest wedding set at the Kiana Lodge, a location that exudes rustic elegance. Locally grown dahlias were incorporated into many elements of the wedding day decor. Julia's father even cultivated his own garden of dahlias to adorn and decorate the event.
This untraditional choice of flower inspired us to capture and showcase their unique beauty. Julia described our style of cinematography as capturing time and emotion into a capsule of memories. She appreciates that our observations of time and place are classic and unobtrusive.
